not forever, but for now is my absolute favorite chuck palahniuk book to date. it was equal parts revolting and absurdly hilarious. not for the faint of heart!

the story follows two brothers, cecil and otto. they love watching nature documentaries, playing in their nursery, oh, and murdering the help.
surely you've heard the term "man child" before. now, imagine that but like, literally. cecil and otto are two grown men that have decided freeze themselves in time as children at the age they were when their father disappeared.
i felt like palahniuk did such a great job of getting me into cecil's head. who could expect a boy to grow up normal in a family like that? especially with otto reigning over him. i loved the use of repetition (classic palahniuk!) and the rituals cecil and otto developed over the years of living in their own little world together.
if you're not sold yet, there's a maniac who splices together sex dolls into a suit he can wear with multiple penises, nipples, and other orifices. like i said in the beginning, it's absurdly hilarious when it's not being absolutely disgusting. although, the best parts are both.
